About Linda Boyd

You know that girl that sings in her car as she is going down the street and that girl that is the one laughing when you walk into a room?  That – mostly, defines me.  Yes, I love to sing, and yes, I love to be silly and goofy and laugh and I love to cook (Italian) and bake (scones) and jog (slowly) and spend time with my family and friends.

But, several years ago, I realized that busyness was overtaking me.  I found myself telling people that I was too busy; I had no room left on my plate; I was overwhelmed! At that moment, I realized that I needed God to be the exact center of my life.  Oh, He had been in my life for a long time, but I kept Him on the sidelines.  I needed Him to be in the innermost part of me.

So, I began reading books – C. S. Lewis, A. W. Tozer, J. I. Packer.  I began finding Bible Studies and doing them on my own or asking friends at my church to do them with me.  I began keeping a prayer journal. I also started reading the Bible.  And…. What did I find?  That God is present – even if the heat of my West Texas sun is beating down on me – He wants a relationship with me.  He wants me to be obedient, to be faithful, to trust Him to be in charge.

Are you busy like me? Overwhelmed like me?  Come and join me on my journey as I learn how to daily live for Him.
